Barn Family Room, East Sussex

There is nothing quite like collaborating with a long-standing client, especially when they bring such an evocative starting point to the table. For this converted barn project, my client had fallen for the intense beauty of Edward Bulmer’s Invisible Green and a stunning, multi-coloured embroidered Colefax fabric.

Using this bold pairing as my creative launch point, I set out to design a very liveable family haven, perfect for unwinding and watching TV. From sourcing the perfect upholstery and layered lighting to selecting neat side tables and texture-rich flooring, every element was chosen to balance the barn's scale with intimate, everyday comfort.
